ROY – A six-week public utility project on sections of SR 702 and SR 507 in the Roy/McKenna vicinity of Pierce County begins next week.
During the project, drivers will encounter one-way alternating traffic along SR 702 from the intersection of SR 507 in McKenna to Kinsman Road East in Roy and along SR 507 from the Nisqually River Bridge to the Roy City limits.
Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. No work will occur Friday through Sunday. Flaggers will assist motorists through the work zone
On Tuesday, July 8, crews from Mashell Telecom will close the westbound lane of SR 702 where it intersects with SR 507 to 56th Avenue Due to the 4th of July holiday, work next week will occur Tuesday through Thursday.
