VANCOUVER – Motorists can expect closures of the I-5 north and southbound off-ramps at NE 78th Street in Hazel Dell beginning Saturday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The closures are necessary for the safety of motorists and pedestrians during the annual Hazel Dell Parade.

Portable message boards will be placed along I-5 near the NE 78th Street exits in advance to inform motorists of the daytime closures required for the parade. The duration of the parade is expected to last approximately four hours.

The Washington State Department of Transportation will be partnering up with the Washington Sate Patrol to provide necessary traffic control for this event. Alternate exits will remain open; motorists may use the NE 99th Street off-ramps, just north of the closure or 39th Street off-ramps, just south of the closure.
