Contractors interested in working with the Washington State Department of Transportation on upcoming highway projects are invited to attend a free business open house. WSDOT is sponsoring this event in order to create a greater awareness of upcoming projects and the contracting and subcontracting opportunities that come with them.
This is an opportunity for prime contractors and subcontractors-- both certified Disadvantaged Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises (DMWBE) and non-certified contractors to learn about upcoming projects which are expected to be advertised for bid in the next twelve months. They will be able to get information on the size, timing and scope of upcoming projects and speak with staff from the applicable WSDOT Offices, including the Region Office, Headquarters Construction Office, Highways and Local Programs, Contract Ad & Award and the Office of Equal Opportunity. In addition, staff from the State Office of Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises will be available to answer questions and help DMWBEs understand what business programs are available to them.
All projects discussed will be located in the region in which the open house is held. In addition, the open house for the Northwest Region will include representatives from Washington State Ferries, and the Urban Corridors Office, which develops, designs, and delivers a multi-billion dollar program of Seattle-metropolitan area mega-projects.
WSDOT Consultant Services will be available at the Northwest Region, Olympic Region, and the combined North Central/South Central region open houses.
This is a great opportunity for networking and partnering between prime contractors, subcontractors and WSDOT.

Northwest Region - October 29, 2007 (9:00 am to 1:00 pm)

Olympic Region - October 31, 2007 (9:00 am to 1:00 pm)
Address: Worthington Center (St. Martin’s College) 5300 Pacific Ave SE, Lacey, WA 98503 in the banquet room.
North Central/South Central Regions - November 5, 2007 (10:00 am to 2:00 pm)
Address: Central Washington University, Ellensburg 400 E. University Way, Ellensburg, WA 98926-7463 in the Student Union and Recreation Center Ballroom.
Eastern Region - November 8, 2007 (10:00 am to 2:00 pm)
Address: Spokane Arena, 720 West Mallon Avenue, Spokane, WA 99201 in the Les Schwab Meeting Rooms.
Southwest Region - November 15, 2007 (8:00 am to 12:00 pm)
