SAMMAMISH - Washington State Department of Transportation, city of Sammamish, King County, and Puget Sound Regional Council have developed a list of potential improvements to enhance safety and improve mobility on the State Route 202 corridor. WSDOT wants to hear the community’s input about the potential improvements.
The public is invited to an open house Tuesday, Sept. 25 at Sammamish City Hall in council chambers, 801 228th Avenue S.E. in Sammamish, Wash. Those who attend the open house can talk with project staff, view displays and provide feedback. There will be no formal presentations, so the public is encouraged to stop by anytime between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Some of the displays and information available will address:
- Safety and mobility intersection improvements such as turn lanes, through lanes or signals at Sahalee Way Northeast, 218th Avenue Northeast, 244th Avenue Northeast, Northeast Ames Lake Road and Northeast Tolt Hill Road.
- Safety and preservation improvements such as widening shoulders, installing digital speed monitors, and repairing stream culverts and drainage structures.
WSDOT also wants to hear from people who cannot attend the open house. If you are unable to attend, please contact project manager Jean Mabry by phone at 206-464-1266 or by e-mail at SR202Study@wsdot.wa.gov with questions or comments. Detailed project information is also available online at www.wsdot.wa.gov/planning/RDP/SR202/SahaleeWayToDuthieHill.
