TACOMA – The next phase of bridge construction over I-5 near the Tacoma Dome requires two weeks of ramp closures and lane restrictions, starting Tuesday night.
Crews placing deck forms (in preparation of pouring the concrete decks) for the new Yakima Avenue and Delin Street overpasses will restrict lanes and close ramps to keep drivers safe.
All closures begin at 10 p.m. and end at 5 a.m. Here is the schedule of ramp and lane closures for the next two weeks:
• Overnight Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 11-12: Close I-705, SR 7 and Pacific Avenue ramps to southbound I-5 and three right southbound lanes.
• Overnight Thursday and Friday, Sept. 13-14: Close three left southbound lanes.
• Overnight Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 17-18: Close two left northbound lanes.
• Overnight Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 19-20: Close ramp from SR 16 to northbound I-5 and two right northbound lanes.
