During the lane closures, crews will grind and repave sections of the bridge deck. They hope to repeat the process on the north side of the old bridge the weekend of August 4 if weather permits.
The resurfacing work is included in the overall scope of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge project. Once the deck resurfacing work is done, crews will upgrade the 1950 bridge’s railing, also included in the project scope.
