SNOQUALMIE PASS – In order to protect motorists, WSDOT is periodically closing the left lane of the eastbound lanes on Interstate 90 to remove snow and ice from the east snow shed (five miles east of the summit). The right lane of eastbound I-90 will remain closed to house equipment being used for the removal process.

WSDOT is asking drivers to be patient and to expect some delays when traveling east over Snoqualmie Pass. Crews will try and limit closures to 20 minutes, and then release eastbound traffic. Currently eastbound traffic is backed up for several miles, but WSDOT anticipates both directions of traffic will be back open by 3:30 p.m. today.
