SEATTLE– WSDOT signal crews in King and Snohomish counties will be working through the night and out in full force during tomorrow morning's commute working to power and monitor signals affected by storm related power outages.

"We'll have 30 signal technicians monitoring signals throughout King and Snohomish Counties," said Assistant Regional Administrator Dave McCormick. "They will be using generators to power signals at key intersections and monitoring the signal timing."

The following are some of the critical intersections will have power for tomorrow morning's commute:
King County

    * I-90 at SR 18
    * I-90 at SR 900
    * SR 169 at 276th Street

Snohomish County

    * SR 522 at Fales/Echo Lake Road
    * SR 104 at 5th Street between SR 99 and I-5

"Although we are taking steps to make tomorrow morning's commute easier, we still need driver's help," said McCormick. "We want to remind drivers to treat all dark intersections as four-way stops. Additionally, drivers should also check travel conditions on the WSDOT Web site before they travel."

Power has also been restored to the I-5 and I-90 express lanes.

"The schedules for both the I-5 and I-90 will be returning to normal," said McCormick. "Crews have been hand-cranking the traffic gates lanes since Friday morning because there has been no power to run the motors."
