Olympia – WSDOT crews re-negotiated their traffic control plan and the staging of their equipment allowing intermittent closures for the on-ramp from Deschutes Parkway to Northbound I-5 in Olympia originally scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily this week to be cancelled.
No lane restrictions will occur, however, the planned shoulder closures for northbound I-5 and northbound US 101 to I-5 are still in effect. The shoulder closures are necessary for crews to do drainage repair on the bridge due to damage from the heavy rainfall received in the area last month.
Motorists are asked to use caution and watch for workers near the shoulder closures and to use extreme care when merging from U.S. 101 to I-5 northbound.
