Olympia – WSDOT crews re-negotiated their traffic control plan and have opted for intermittent closures for the on-ramp from Deschutes Parkway to Northbound I-5 in Olympia from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily Dec. 11 – 15 to make repairs to the Capitol Lake Bridge.
No lane restrictions will occur, however, repair work will require shoulder closures for northbound I-5 and northbound US 101 to I-5. A shoulder closure on southbound I-5 at the same location was also originally scheduled, but now is not needed.
The on-ramp and shoulder closures are necessary for crews to do drainage repair on the bridge due to damage from the heavy rainfall received in the area last month.
