EVERETT – WSDOT and Atkinson/CH2M Hill will host an open house Tuesday night, December 12 for the public to get an update on the I-5 Everett freeway expansion project. This informational open house is an opportunity for visitors to speak with project staff, view design displays and to learn about future construction plans.

This $262 million project will improve traffic and safety on I-5 through Everett by widening the freeway to include an extra merging lane between 41st Street and US 2 and by extending the HOV lanes between Boeing Freeway (SR 526) and US 2. The new lanes are scheduled to be open to traffic in summer 2008.
