EVERETT – We have postponed our plan to open the 41st St. Bridge in Everett by Thanksgiving. That's because the community spoke and we listened. The new plan keeps the current and effective detour in place and accelerates the building of the ramps to and from 41st. We now plan to have the bridge and three of four ramps open by mid March.

After hearing from the City of Everett, local businesses and the residents who drive through the area daily, we decided to keep the current detour in place and allow construction crews to shift their resources to focus on opening the ramps.

While the 41st Street Bridge will remain closed for a while longer, the new timetable will allow shorter, less disruptive road closures for businesses and residents while crews build and open the ramps more quickly.
