If you are interested in aviation and art, live in Washington State and are between the ages of 6 and 17, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is pleased to invite you to enter the 2007 International Aviation Art Contest. This year’s art contest theme is simply “Airfield.” Participants can take advantage of this broad theme to conjure innovative and creative aviation images.
All youth between the ages 6-17 are encouraged to participate even if they are related to officials or employees of any city, state, federal or international aviation organization. Artwork will be judged for its creativity and use of the theme in relation to the aviation world. The top three state winners will go on to compete for the national and international awards.
To enter the contest, print out and complete the art contest application form (pdf 521 kb). If you don't have Adobe Reader to download the application, you can download Adobe Reader here.
Entries must be postmarked by January 12, 2007. Please attach the completed application form to your artwork and mail to:

The 2007 International Aviation Art Contest is sponsored by the National Association of State Aviation Officials, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and the Federal Aviation Administration, in cooperation with the Federation Aeronautique Internationale. WSDOT serves as the sponsor for Washington State.
