BREMERTON – The Manette Bridge will close for inspections between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Dec. 4 - 7.
During the closure motorists will follow a signed detour utilizing the Warren Avenue Bridge (SR 303). Eastbound traffic will detour at 11th Avenue and westbound traffic will detour at Marlow Avenue, which becomes Wheaton Way.
Using the detour routes may add up to 20 minutes to commute times. Ferry users are advised to check their schedules and allow extra time for their trips.
Closing the bridge during annual inspections is necessary because the 1930 bridge structure is narrow and does not allow enough room for traffic and WSDOT equipment.
