SHINE - Maintenance work on the State Route 104 Hood Canal Bridge will create delays for motorists during nighttime and early morning hours in early August.
Work hours are 9 p.m. August 1 until 2 a.m. August 2, and again from 9 p.m. August 2 until 2 a.m. August 3. The work requires multiple openings, and traffic may be delayed for as much as one hour per opening.
This routine maintenance work is necessary for engineers to make adjustments to the bridge as needed. The work is not weather dependent.
Motorists are encouraged to consider the temporary traffic restrictions when making travel plans. Average weekday traffic across the Hood Canal Bridge is approximately 15,000 vehicles.
