JEFFERSON COUNTY – Motorists experiencing travel delays on State Route (SR) 104 due to a WSDOT paving project will be encouraged to know that next week’s work will complete the job.
The project contractor, Lakeside Industries of Port Orchard, will pave SR 104 from the junction with US 101 to near SR 19, known locally as Beaver Valley Road (mileposts 0–8). During work hours from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., motorists will be directed through the work zone by a pilot car. Motorists should expect 15- to 20-minute delays due to the paving work, which is weather dependent.
This project is one of three scheduled summer projects to pave highways in Jefferson County. Work on SR 20 and SR 116 will begin later this month and once complete motorists will experience a smoother ride.
