CLALLAM COUNTY - A section of State Route (SR) 112 nearly two miles east of the junction with Burnt Mountain Road (SR 113) will be completely closed July 19-22 because of a WSDOT construction project.

The project contractor, Bruch & Bruch Inc. of Port Angeles, will remove two 36-inch diameter concrete culverts that are obstructing fish passage on a tributary of the Pysht River. The existing culverts at milepost 24.88 on SR 112 will be replaced with a 14-foot-wide, four-sided pre-cast structure, allowing access for migratory fish passage.

During the closure, motorists may use SR 113 and US 101 as a detour route. Motorists should also expect flagged one-way traffic in the area through the remainder of July as the contractor completes the job.

Closing the road completely during the three days will reduce overall project costs and the amount of time the public is affected by the project.
