SHINE - Maintenance work on the State Route (SR) 104 Hood Canal Bridge will create delays for motorists during nighttime and early morning hours on Tuesday, July 18 and Wednesday, July 19.

Work hours for maintenance on the east-half draw span are from 9 p.m. July 18 until 2 a.m. July 19 and from 9 p.m. July 19 until 2 a.m. July 20. The work requires multiple openings, and traffic may be delayed for as much as 1 1/2 hours per opening.

This routine maintenance work is necessary for engineers to make adjustments as needed to the east-half draw span. The work is not weather dependent.

Motorists are encouraged to consider the temporary traffic restrictions when making travel plans. Average daily traffic across the Hood Canal Bridge is approximately 15,000 vehicles.

For more information on the maintenance work, please contact Nick Dawson, WSDOT Communications, (360) 357-2716, or visit www.hoodcanalbridge.com.
