VANCOUVER – The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) will close the I-205 Mill Plain off-ramp (exit #28) to motorists traveling northbound on I-205 at 9 p.m. the night of July 26 for construction work. Motorists traveling from State Route 14 to I-205 northbound will have access to the Mill Plain off-ramp. These traffic impacts will remain in affect until 5 a.m. the following morning, July 27.
Closing the Mill Plain off-ramp to motorists approaching from I-205 is necessary so crews can safely work on a pavement marking project at the location. This project includes removing worn pavement markings along sections of I-5 and I-205 by grinding off the existing markings. Following the removal of the existing markings, crews replace centerline striping and install new raised pavement marking buttons.
Advanced warning signs will be posted ahead of the site. Motorists must use alternate routes during the closure. WSDOT would like to remind all motorists to slow down and pay attention to the warning signs while driving near the closure area.
