SEATTLE – Jane Garvey, Chair of the Expert Review Panel, will be available to talk to reporters Monday June 19 between 3 and 4 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Building, 999 3rd Avenue in downtown Seattle, 32nd floor, Suite 3230. Dave Dye, WSDOT Urban Corridors Administrator, will also be available.
The 2006 Washington State Legislature directed WSDOT to form an Expert Review Panel to review the finance and implementation plans for the Alaskan Way Viaduct and Seawall Replacement and SR 520 Bridge Replacement and HOV projects.
Jane Garvey was selected to chair the panel. Ms. Garvey served as the first ever five-term administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration, as the acting administrator (previously deputy administrator) of the Federal Highway Administration, the director of Boston’s Logan International Airport and commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Public Works.
Also serving on the panel will be Lee Baker, P.E., HDR Engineering; Rodney Brown, J.D., Cascadia Law Group; William Edgerton, Jacobs Associates; Don Forbes, P.E., HNTB; Kenneth Kruckemeyer, AIA, ASCE, Massachusetts Institute of Technology; Dave McCracken, P.E., self-employed; and Lyn Wylder, P.E., David Evans and Associates.
In June the Expert Review Panel will be holding two meetings open to the public:
