EVERETT - The Washington Pilots Association (WPA) and Paine Field are pleased to announce the annual General Aviation Day festival and Taste of Mukilteo on Saturday, May 20. This public event is for everyone, with lots of fun, food, and activities for all ages. A new addition this year is a gathering of new light aircraft manufacturers. Come see what the future of light aircraft design holds for the pilot and builder.
Starting at 9 a.m. WPA will host a firefighter’s pancake breakfast to benefit the Northwest Burn Foundation. The main event kicks off at 10 a.m., when the ramp opens with free flights for kids ages 8 – 17, aircraft displays, local vendors, formation flying demonstrations, and inexpensive scenic flights.
The Taste of Mukilteo starts at 11 a.m. and runs until the food is all consumed. Last year brought over 2,000 attendees to enjoy the celebration.
Participating vendors to date are: PurrFect Pals, Women in Aviation International, Museum of Snohomish County History, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Listen and Talk, Angel Flight, the Mukilteo Family YMCA, Blue Bills, Lighthouse Festival, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Everett Community College, Future of Flight and Regal Aviation Supply. Also participating are the following flight schools: Northwest School of Aviation, Northway Aviation, Adventure Helicopters, Inc. and Regal Air.
