SEATTLE - WSDOT maintenance crews will close lanes and ramps on southbound I-5 through downtown Seattle to replace overhead signs.
Closures:
Saturday, May 20, 10 p.m. to Sunday, May 21, 8 a.m. - We will close three right lanes, the Yale Street on-ramp, and the Union Street exit on southbound I-5. Two southbound lanes will remain open on the mainline.
Sunday, May 21, 10 p.m. to Monday, May 22, 5 a.m. – We will close three right lanes, the Yale Street on-ramp, and the Union Street exit on southbound I-5. Two southbound lanes will remain open on the mainline.
Monday, May 22, 10 p.m. to Tuesday, May 23, 5 a.m. – We will close two right lanes, the Yale Street on-ramp, and the Union Street exit on southbound I-5. Three southbound lanes will remain open on the mainline.
Tuesday, May 23, 10 p.m. to Wednesday, May 24, 5 a.m. – We will close three right lanes, the Boylston Street on-ramp, and the Mercer Street exit on southbound I-5. Two southbound lanes will remain open on the mainline.
Wednesday, May 24, 10 p.m. to Thursday, May 25, 5 a.m. – We will close three right lanes, the Boylston Street on-ramp, and the Mercer Street exit on southbound I-5. Two southbound lanes will remain open on the mainline.
To minimize delays, we have scheduled these closures during hours when traffic volumes are low. However, we encourage drivers to plan ahead and “know before you go” by using our congestion maps and cameras. Signed detours will be provided.
