VANCOUVER -The ramp from SR 500 eastbound to I-205 northbound will be closed in the early morning hours of February 26, announced the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT). The closure expected to last six hours, beginning at 12 a.m. (midnight). The ramp will reopen by 6 a.m.
During the closure motorists will still be able to access I-205 northbound from the westbound SR 500 ramp. Motorists heading eastbound can exit at 112th Avenue/ Gher Road, and return on SR 500, heading west to access the I-205 northbound ramp. Another option is for motorists to take the I-205 northbound ramp from 4th Plain, which is in the vicinity.
The closure is necessary to safely allow maintenance crews to replace signs where SR 500 meets I-205.
Advance warning signs alerting motorists about the closures and the detour will be in place starting on Thursday. During the closure, WSDOT staff and the Washington State Patrol will also be directing motorists.
WSDOT would like to remind all motorists to slow down and pay attention to the warning signs while driving near the closure area.
