Tonight between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., crews working for WSDOT will close:
• The right lane on the ramp from northbound I-5 to eastbound SR 520
• The left lane on the ramp from westbound SR 520 to southbound I-5
These closures are to allow crews to survey the I-5/SR 520 interchange as WSDOT's SR 520 Bridge Replacement and HOV Project Team prepares preliminary designs for the future bridge and highway replacement.
Tomorrow night between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Saturday morning, we will close the right lane on southbound I-5 between East Hamlin and East Boston streets, reopen it once that stage of work is completed, then close the southbound I-5 left lane for the rest of the evening. This area is just south of the Ship Canal Bridge.
The specific timing of these closures during the night is dependent on our surveyor's progress throughout the course of the night. Traffic departing from tomorrow night's Mariners game will not be affected by the closures. Tomorrow night's closures are limited only to southbound I-5 and are several miles north of the stadium.
