Transportation is a required element of your Comprehensive Plan and linked to virtually all the other elements of your plan from economic development to land use. The transportation element is a critical part of envisioning and implementing your community's goals for the next 20 years.

As of 2005, cities and counties must include policies and projects supporting active and livable communities in their comprehensive plans and include bicycle and pedestrian projects in their Tranportation Elements
