Corridor Performance:

• Traffic in the corridor is oriented to the peak direction. The general purpose lanes operate at the posted speed limit except during the peak period in the peak direction. Congestion causes significant slowing westbound in the morning.

• The HOV lanes operate at the speed limit for all hours of the day. HOV lane volumes are well below capacity throughout the day. HOV lane person throughput peaks outbound in the evening at just over 1,150 persons per hour.

• There is only a low level of transit service in this corridor. Transit ridership is concentrated in the peak periods and in the peak direction.
