Corridor Performance:

• The general purpose lanes routinely experience congestion approaching the I-405 interchange. Traffic volumes are heavy in both directions throughout daytime hours and average speeds are below the posted limit especially in the peak directions during the peak periods.

• HOV lane volumes have a stronger orientation to the peak direction than the general-purpose lanes. In the peak period and peak direction the HOV lanes carry slightly more persons per hour than the general purpose lanes. The HOV lanes operate at or near the posted limit throughout the day.

• There is limited transit service on SR 167. Because Sound Transit service in this corridor has only been in operation since late 1999, the ridership figures shown may not reflect longer term transit potential.
