Federal Aviation Administration Approves More Airport Projects – The FAA released funding for two additional airport enhancement projects in Washington last month, adding projects in Richland and Wilbur to seven other projects already approved for six Washington airports. FAA airport improvement projects now total nearly $50 million in Washington.
- Wilbur - $3 million for runway rehabilitation.
- Richland - $2.6 million for runway rehabilitation.
- The FAA administers aviation Recovery Act projects with airport sponsors. WSDOT does not have a role.
