Ferry System partners with the Triple Door to provide live entertainment on Seattle to Bainbridge Island ferry route

SEATTLE – WSDOT Ferries Division (WSF) is partnering with the Triple Door to provide live entertainment on the Seattle to Bainbridge Island ferry route beginning Saturday, October 3.

The Triple Door, located in downtown Seattle, is known for its intimate atmosphere, world-class entertainment and the award winning food and wine of Wild Ginger Restaurant. While the food and wine are not part of the WSF program, the world-class entertainment is.

The debut performance features Seattle-based folk and blues artist Stanislove. Stanislove performs an eclectic collection of traditional folk, blues, swing and ragtime tunes using steel- slide and acoustic guitars. The music begins aboard the 11:25 a.m. sailing from Seattle to Bainbridge and concludes aboard the 12:20 p.m. return trip from Bainbridge Island to Seattle.

This is the first performance in a three-month pilot program on the Seattle to Bainbridge Island route. Performances occur every Saturday through the end of December. The entertainment is limited to one of two time slots aboard either of the two vessels serving the route from 11:a.m.-3:30 p.m., or 3:45 p.m.-7:45 p.m.

WSF would like your feedback on this pilot program and asks interested parties to fill out a brief survey.
