Special Vehicle Loading: If you use a mobility aid or have a need that requires you to be located near an elevator, please inform the ticket seller at the tollbooth. As you drive aboard, you will be directed to a location that is as close as possible to an elevator. Park so that your vehicle door can be opened for easy exiting and access. Please note this service does not provide you with guaranteed loading. If there is an overload situation, or our elevator is out of order, you will be advised that your vehicle may be loaded on the next available ferry.
Our six largest terminals (Seattle, Bremerton, Bainbridge Island, Edmonds, Kingston, and Anacortes) have good accessibility from street level to vessel passenger decks via overhead loading ramps or elevators.
While other terminals may not have that accessibility, many of the ferries servicing those docks have elevator service from the vehicle deck to the main deck of the vessel.
Most terminals have accessible restrooms and adequate shelter. Special parking for people with disabilities is available next to the entrance of all major terminals. Special parking is also available in pay parking areas.
In addition, our website has detailed information on each of our terminals including: terminal address with aerial photo; a link to Yahoo for street map and directions; a link to ferry cameras; the WSF routes available from terminal; and any expected wait times for vehicles.
Tidal conditions do reflect on steepness of walkway.
Special Notes:
Federal law allows service animals in all public areas of our terminals and aboard Washington State Ferries.
Oxygen tanks, respirators and other medical equipment are permitted on Washington State Ferries.
The following terminals have food service within one to four blocks of the terminal: Friday Harbor, Port Townsend, Edmonds, Bainbridge, Bremerton and Point Defiance.
