The Design Manual

The Design Policy team develops the Design Manual. The Design Manual contains guidelines, policies, and procedures in compliance with AASHTO guidelines, state and federal laws, and current practices in highway design.

The Design Manual is published by WSDOT. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has approved the Design Manual for use on federal-aid highways.
